Kal Sandhu

Senior Managing Partner


As one of MASI’s founding members and Senior Managing Partner, Kal’s role is to provide the required leadership and management to assure business success and sustainable growth in line with MASI’s strategic objectives.

Kal has over 35 years of industry experience leading acquisitions, divestures, developing new business as well in operational management of projects in Canada, the United States, North Africa, the Middle East, Russia, Central Asia and Europe. Until April 2016, Kal was Senior Advisor to Wintershall  – Germany’s largest oil & gas company and subsidiary of BASF –  on business strategy & portfolio management. During his fifteen years at Wintershall he also served as General Manager for the Caspian Region based in Central Asia, where he developed and executed upstream projects, both onshore and offshore.

Kal participates in numerous international oil & gas conferences as a key note speaker, lead panelist and moderator. Kal works at the highest levels with government, natural resource ministries and regulatory bodies on energy policy and strategy.

Amy Sandhu

Director


As MASI’s co-founder and Director, Amy’s role lies in business development and execution of MASI’s corporate and strategic objectives. Amy has 12 years of experience managing international development projects and consulting in the extractives governance sector in Canada, the UK, Europe and West Africa. She specialises in social responsibility in the extractives with a particular focus on stakeholder engagement and rural livelihoods in fragile states.

Amy has worked for the United Nations, non-government organisations, academic research centres, and responsible extractives consultancies.

Amy Sandhu served as a member of the Secretariat of the Equator Principles and currently serves as Advisor to the Canadian Association for Petroleum Producers (CAPP).
